Receiving Payments from Go4

Learn how payments are processed, when you can expect to be paid, what factors may impact payout timing, and how to ensure your payment is received successfully.

Go4 makes it easy for Athletic Trainers to receive payment for completed shifts.

Once an Athletic Trainer successfully works a shift and checks in through the Go4 app, Go4 begins the payment process. Payment timing can vary depending on the payment method used by the organization, banking processing times, and whether any payment reviews are required.

This article outlines how payment processing works, common reasons for delays, and steps you can take to ensure a smooth payout experience.

New for 2026: Keep 100% of Your Earnings

Effective January 1, 2026, Go4 no longer charges Athletic Trainers a 3% payment processing fee.

Athletic Trainers now receive 100% of the compensation rate posted on the shift, allowing you to take home the full amount offered by the organization.

Go4's service fee is charged separately to the Job Poster and is not deducted from Athletic Trainer earnings.

Good to Know
Athletic Trainers receive 100% of the compensation rate posted on the shift. Go4 does not deduct service fees from Athletic Trainer earnings.

Before You Can Receive Payment

Before payment can be issued, you must:

  • Have a completed Go4 account
  • Connect a valid bank account
  • Successfully work the shift
  • Successfully check in through the Go4 app

Payment Setup Required
Athletic Trainers must have a valid bank account connected to their Go4 profile before payments can be deposited.

How Payment Process Works

Payment processing begins after:

  1. 24 hours after the shift has ended.
  2. The Athletic Trainer successfully checked in through the Go4 app.
  3. Services have been verified as rendered.

Once these steps are complete, Go4 begins processing the payment.

Why Check-In Matters
Check-in serves as confirmation that you arrived at the event and provided services. Without a successful check-in, Go4 may be unable to automatically process payment.

When Will I Receive Payment?

Most payments are sent within a few business days after processing begins.

However, actual payout timing may vary depending on:

  • Banking institutions
  • Weekends and holidays
  • The organization's payment method
  • Payment reviews or investigations
Typical Processing Times
  • Credit Card-funded payments: Typically 2–5 business days
  • ACH-funded payments: Typically 7–10 business days

ACH Payments May Take Longer
Organizations that choose to fund payments through ACH may experience longer banking processing times before funds become available for payout.

Payment Timing May Vary
While most payments are processed within the timelines above, certain circumstances may result in additional delays. Banking holidays, weekends, payment reviews, funding issues, attendance verification, and the organization's selected payment method can all impact how quickly funds become available for payout.
