Cancellation Policy and Compensation
Learn how Go4's cancellation policy works, when cancellation fees or compensation may apply, how weather-related cancellations are handled, and what options are available if you believe a cancellation was incorrectly classified.
Effective January 1, 2025
At Go4, we recognize that plans can change and cancellations sometimes happen. Our cancellation policy was created to support a fair and reliable marketplace for both Job Posters and Athletic Trainers.
When an Athletic Trainer confirms a shift, they are making a commitment to your event and often turning down other opportunities to keep that time reserved. Likewise, organizations depend on confirmed Athletic Trainers to provide coverage when it matters most.
To help balance these commitments, Go4's cancellation policy provides clear guidelines and compensation based on how much notice is given before a confirmed shift is canceled.
Our goal is simple: create transparency, encourage reliability, and maintain trust between both sides of the marketplace.
Important Note: The cancellation policy only applies after an Athletic Trainer has reached a Confirmed status. If a shift has not yet been confirmed, cancellation fees and compensation generally do not apply.

How the Cancellation Policy Works
When a confirmed shift is canceled, the amount charged to the Job Poster and paid to the Athletic Trainer is based on how much notice is provided before the shift's scheduled start time.
| Time of Cancellation | Cancellation Fee |
| 73+ Hours of Shift Start Time | Go4 Service Fee |
| 25-72 Hours of Shift Start Time | 25% of the Shift Cost |
| ≤ 24 Hours of Shift Start Time | 50% of the Shift Cost |
| Weather-Related | Excluded |
More Than 73 Hours Before the Shift Start Time
If a confirmed Athletic Trainer is canceled more than 73 hours before the scheduled start time:
- The Job Poster will be charged the Go4 service fee.
- No cancellation compensation is paid to the Athletic Trainer.
25-72 Hours Before the Shift Start Time
If a confirmed Athletic Trainer is canceled within 25 to 72 hours of the scheduled start time:
- The Job Poster will be charged 25% of the shift cost.
- The Athletic Trainer will receive 25% of the shift compensation.
Within 24 Hours of the Shift
If a confirmed Athletic Trainer is canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled start time:
- The Job Poster will be charged 50% of the shift cost.
- The Athletic Trainer will receive 50% of the shift compensation.
Weather-Related Cancellations
Weather-related cancellations are excluded from Go4's standard cancellation policy. Verified weather cancellations do not qualify for cancellation compensation.
Weather Cancellation Reviews
Weather-related cancellations may be audited and reviewed by Go4 to ensure they meet applicable weather standards. Athletic Trainers may also request a review if they believe conditions were safe for play and the cancellation was incorrectly classified as weather-related.
What Happens if an Athletic Trainer Calls Out?
If an Athletic Trainer calls out from a confirmed shift, the cancellation fee schedule does not apply.
Instead:
- The shift is automatically re-marketed to qualified Athletic Trainers in the area.
- The Athletic Trainer's Reliability Score may be negatively impacted.
- The callout may become visible on the Athletic Trainer's profile.
- Excessive callouts may result in additional account review.
Appeals and Policy Reviews
If you believe a cancellation was incorrectly classified or should qualify for an exception, you may request a review.
Need a Policy Review?
If you believe a cancellation was incorrectly classified, you may submit a review request to our Support team at support@go4.io within 72 hours of the related event to be eligible for consideration. All submissions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
