Applying to Shifts and Application Statuses

Learn how to apply for shifts through Go4, understand the different application statuses you may encounter, and what each status means throughout the hiring process.

Once your required credentials have been approved, you can begin applying for available shifts through the Go4 platform.

After applying, your application will move through various statuses as the organization reviews candidates and makes hiring decisions.

Understanding these statuses can help you track where you stand in the hiring process and what actions, if any, are required from you.

Find Available Shifts

Applying for per diem shifts on Go4 is simple. Once your required credentials have been approved, you can browse available opportunities and submit applications directly through the app.

This article explains how to apply for shifts and what each application status means so you can easily track your progress throughout the hiring process.

  1. Log in to the Go4 app.
  2. Select JOBS.
  3. Ensure you are viewing the Per Diem tab.
  4. Browse available shifts or search for a specific job using the search bar.

You can also use filters to narrow your search and find opportunities that best match your preferences and qualifications.

Available filters may include:

  • State
  • Distance
  • Date
  • Compensation
  • Other shift-specific criteria

Using Filters
When filters are applied, the filter icon will appear blue. Selecting the filter icon will display all active filters, and any filters currently being applied will appear bolded.

State and Distance Filters

Within the State filter, you can choose to:

  • View shifts only in states where you are licensed to work
  • View shifts in all states

Please note that Athletic Trainers can only apply for shifts in states where they meet the applicable licensure requirements.

The Distance filter is based on the ZIP code listed in your Go4 profile. Updating your profile location will impact the distance calculations shown when searching for shifts.

Applying for a Shift

Once you find a shift you're interested in:

  1. Review the shift details carefully.
  2. Confirm that you meet any listed requirements.
  3. Select Apply.
  4. Re-confirm your application by selecting Apply Now.

Your application will then be submitted to the organization for review.

Once your application has been submitted, the shift will move through several statuses as part of the hiring process.

Important Note: Submitting an application does not guarantee you will be selected for the shift. Organizations may receive applications from multiple Athletic Trainers and are responsible for choosing who they hire.

Credential Verification Reminder
If you still have required credentials that are pending review, your application status may display as Under Review until all required credentials have been approved by Go4's Verification Team.

Understanding Shift Statuses

Shift Pending

After applying for a shift, it will move to the Pending section of your app and display a status of Shift Pending.

This means your application has been submitted and is awaiting review by the Job Poster.

Job Posters have up to 7 days to accept your application before it expires.

Accepted

If a Job Poster selects you for the shift, the status will change to Accepted and you will receive an email and in-app notification.

At this stage, the Job Poster has offered you the shift, but you are not yet scheduled to work it.

Action Required
The Athletic Trainer must log into the Go4 app and select Confirm to secure the shift. Review all job details before confirming the job.

Confirmed

Once you select Confirm, the shift will move to the My Jobs section of the app and display a status of Confirmed.

This means you are officially scheduled to work the shift.

Important Note: Go4 requires a double-confirmation process. The Job Poster must first accept your application, and you must then confirm the shift in the app before you are officially scheduled.

Waitlist

If a shift displays a status of Waitlist, it means another Athletic Trainer was selected for the available position.

While you are not currently scheduled to work the shift, you may still be considered if:

  • The confirmed Athletic Trainer is no longer available
  • Additional shifts are added
  • Additional coverage is needed

No action is required while on the waitlist.
